Research Track

ccording to all of your suggestion, the topic and objectives will be described as follow:

Research on Systems Engineering Technology and Applications (maybe be revised)

The result of the research including:

1. Two -three papers on some detailed and specific engineering technology

2. A booklet on case study of public affairs decision making (focus on big events, engineering methods, and comparison between China and foreign country)

Current approach:

1. The first paper based on original work entitled "An Improved Optimization Algorithm for the Container Loading Problem" (Zhu Shunzhi, Hong Wenxing) had been accepted by "2009 World Congress on Software Engineering".  (Ei, http://world-research-institutes.org/conferences/WCSE/2009/index.html)

2. An abstract entitled "A Novel Approach on Data Management for Sensor Networks" had been submitted to "The Second Conference on Earth Observation for Global Changes (EOGC2009)". The full paper should be submitted before Feb. 15, 2009.

Goals (To fit the requirement of Xiamen University) 

3. ICCSE 2009   (dealine: March 2009, Ei.  http://iccse.xmu.edu.cn )

4. ICCA 2009 (Ei , http://www.ieee-icca.org/) 

5. A journal paper such as "System Engineering Theory and Practice" (in Chinese, Ei)

I have a discussion with Dr. Leong this noon. Here is the summary:

1. I restart from data analysis on Students' score of National Computer Rank Examination.

2. The analysis will use some skills in data mining, the tool will be the Business Intelligent on SQL Server 2005. 

3. Actually, the result is quite suitable for ICCSE 2009. 

4. I will report you every week's approach. Dr. Leong will kindly meet with me every Friday's 11:00am.
